ONE WEEK OLD!

OH my heck! My little boy is already a week old! :( I can't even believe it! He has been so much fun and I can't even fathom what I did without him!
Anywhoser, the Relief Society presidency just brought us dinner (SO SWEET) and they gave us a picture and this poem. I started crying and I just want to share it with you.

Day-Old Child
My day-old child lay in my arms,
with my lips against his ear.
I whispered strongly, "How I wish-
I wish that you could hear;

"I've a hundred wonderful things to say
(A tiny cough and a nod),
Hurry, hurry, hurry and grow
So I can tell you about God."

My day-old baby's mouth was still
And my words only tickled his ear,
But a kind of light passed through his eyes,
And I saw a though appear:

"How I wish I had a voice and words;
I've a hundred things to say,
Before I forget I'd tell you of God-
I left him yesterday."

I had Jade take a few pictures of me so that they wouldn't like I tried to take them myself, but needless to say, I could have taken them and they would look just the same. :)

He is already embarrassed of me! Poor kid is gonna get a LOT of that.

This is him right now. I should be sleeping when he is, but I can't close my eyes because I'm too busy staring at how handsome he is!!

UPDATE:
My dear sweet grandma is in the middle of a stroke right now and they can't do anything to stop it. :( It could take 5 days to get over... So we are just waiting to see what happens and hope that everyone can keep being strong.
My grandma is an amazing woman. She is 92 years old and has never stopped. She is always on her feet and can't sit down for more than 5 minutes. She never complains and she is always wondering about how everyone else is doing. She taught school for over 40 years and she raised 5 sons (Can you imagine?), that were a little on the wild side. :) Sorry Uncles but I wonder about ya sometimes. But my grandma truly is amazing and I love her so much.

My poor Grandma Stuart is in the hospital. She has been really sick this week and they thought they had it figured out but I guess she had a few strokes. Right now they are waiting to see what happens. She is bleeding somewhere internally in her head and she also has a blood clot. So they can't treat her to stop bleeding until the clot passes so it is very scary.

Please just say a quick prayer for her. Thank you.

Happy Happy (late) Birthday!!! Yesterday was Sherydon's birthday and I just want her to know that i'm so thankful she is in our family! Her and Nick make such a great couple and i'm so happy that they found each other... I love you!

So I have the coolest friend ever! Her name is Shelly and I know some of you are thinking, "Isn't she crazy?" Well, truth be known... she is crazy. :) But she is the coolest crazy person I know and I love her to death!!!
She made this stinkin cute mobile for me and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!

I figure I better post something because I won't be for a few days! :) And from now on it will probably just be posts about my cute little boy! How crazy is that? Anywhoser; these are a few boots that he got for his shower! Aren't they adorable!?

I had my shower today and it was sooo much fun! Thanks everyone and I got SOOOOO much great CUTE stuff! I love it all! I'm so thankful to have such great friends and family! My Aunt Shirley made this cute diaper cake! I love it! I don't have too many pictures so I will try to get some of my fun presents so everyone can see! Thanks again!

i'm gonna be a mommy...

I went to the doctor yesterday. First of all, he had jammed his finger playing basketball so he had to use his left hand. Wasn't quite as skilled and I thought I was going to die! :) But I lived in case you were wondering! He said that not much has changed... which is fine. He could tell that his head was in the right place and he gave me a bishops score of 8. He aked how I felt about being started and I told him he is the dr and he should tell me what to do. So if I haven't gone by Tuesday night then I'm to check into the hospital at 9pm and they are going to start me (39 weeks) So more than likely my baby will be born Wednesday January 21st. :) So cute huh?! I'm trying not to think about it, but what else can you honestly think about?? :) So that is the latest! Hope everyone is doing swell!!!

kind of an update

Hi there! I hope everyone is doing lovely... and here is the scoop in my life. Jade's grandfather in Oregon passed away and his funeral is Friday. I went to the dr on Monday and asked him if I could travel that far and he thought I would be fine and checked everything out and said i'm looking good. Then he decided he'd better measure me just to make sure. Well, you all know how they measure ya, kinda not fun and as he is in there he makes the comment, "oh wow...". Seriously??? Then he said that I am dilated to a 2 1/2 and i'm 80% thinned. Scariness! So he told me he would let me go to Oregon if I wanted to have my baby there. Needless to say, I'm a scaredy cat and I stayed home, and Jade is now 12 hours away from me... I have been feeling ok. Lots of pressure and my back is pretty achey but I'm doing good. My luck is that it will still be another month before anything goes on... so i'm just kind of hanging out. Trying not to think about stuff.

Well here is my final... not quite finished. I'm gonna finish the window and hang more cute stuff but for the most part, this is it!

And for all of you dying to know... :) I ended up going with a Chicco stroller! I have heard nothing but good about them and couldn't get my mind off of it. My darling mother bought it for me and I know it was way more than she wanted to spend but she told me that safety is more important so thanks mom! I love you and I can't wait to see my little monster in this bad boy!

Also, any wagers on what color of hair he is going to have???
